Jos Govaart, co-founder of Coopr, will become Managing Director of Brand Potential Benelux. Together with Guillaume Furminger, Executive Creative Director, he will form the leadership team of the Benelux division of Brand Potential.
By integrating Coopr into Brand Potential, the agency takes a significant step towards offering a full-service portfolio. The agency will be able to develop brands from a strategic foundation and bring them to life through distinctive design, relevant brand stories, content production, activations, and PR techniques. Brand Potential Benelux’s new strategy is about how a brand shows up in the world, focusing on brand identity, brand expression, storytelling, and brand reputation.
The reason behind this strategic move is based on extensive research indicating that customers prefer to collaborate with fewer agencies and reduce complexity. This aligns perfectly with the vision of the parent company, Candid, which recently communicated three clear pillars as its strategy. These pillars are organized around Brand, Comms, and Media.
Jos Govaart, Managing Director, Brand Potential Benelux: “After founding Netvlies in 1997 and Coopr in 2009, I am now very much looking forward to the next entrepreneurial chapter called Brand Potential. I look forward to using my experience to help grow this agency. When you think about brand strategy, you also have to think about the organization’s reputation, and PR thinking is crucial in this regard. I believe it is very beneficial for clients that these do not have to be separate worlds at the agencies they work with.”
Mary Say, CEO of Brand Potential, adds: “With the addition of Coopr to the Brand Potential family, we are taking a great step towards offering a full-service portfolio for our clients.”
After 15 years of dedication to Coopr, co-founder Jody Koehler has chosen to seek his future elsewhere. Govaart: ‘I am very sorry that Jody is leaving. We were both ready for a new impulse in our careers, each choosing a different direction. We will certainly miss him and wish him all the success for the future.’
