Old Mout Cider, one of the UK’s leading premium flavoured cider brands, has built a strong reputation for innovation in the market over the past decade. As part of Heineken UK’s strategic portfolio, Old Mout has ambitious growth targets for 2025, with new product development (NPD) playing a key role in reaching these goals. Our latest collaboration aims to engage new audiences by delivering an exciting new flavour that speaks to modern tastes.
Our journey began with a deep dive into consumer trends, market insights, and AI-driven inspiration. We explored adjacent categories and flavour themes to spark new ideas. Through a series of immersive ideation workshops, we refined over 50 potential concepts. After multiple rounds of revisions and consumer testing, Mango & Passionfruit emerged as the front-running flavour.
This collaboration with Heineken showcases the power of strategic partnerships to drive innovation. We’re proud of the creative effort and passion that went into developing this bold new flavour and can’t wait for consumers to experience it.
